    Code Familiarity score


    Code familiarity is measured as the lines of code contributed by current developers vs the lines of code written by developers configured as former contributors (i.e. off-boarded developers). It is measured as the percentage across all files in the codebase.


    The higher the percentage of code written by currently active developers, the better:

    Knowledge Islands score


    Knowledge Islands are measured by identifying all files where at least 95% of the code is written by just one active developer. The number of knowledge island files is then weighted by their lines of code.
