Reusing a Teams/Developers configuration

Setting up teams, ex-developers and author aliases can be a lot of work, so you don't want to repeat yourself unnecessarily. When you have multiple projects with the same developers, you can use CodeScene's shared Team/Developers configurations.

The easiest way to do this is to select an existing configuration when you create your project. Unless a configuration has been renamed, it will have the name of the project where it was originally made. (By default, when you create a new project, a new configuration is created with the same name as the project.)

If you've already created your project, but missed this step, here's how to attach an existing configuration from a separate project.

The first step is to go into the project configuration (not the global configuration), for example by clicking here:

You'll land on the main tab of the project configuration:

    Now click on "Teams/Developers".

You're finally in the right place. All you have to do is select the configuration you want to use from the dropdown menu and then save the change.

Later, you can go to the global "Teams/Developers" configuration page and click on the name of the configuration you chose. On the "General" tab of the configuration, you should see the name of your project.
