When your CodeScene trial period ends, you’ll have two options moving forward:
If you’ve just started your trial, there’s no need to take any action to cancel it. The trial will simply expire on its own - no further steps are required. You won’t be charged, as the trial is free. If you wish to continue using CodeScene, you’ll need to take action to purchase a license.
1. Proceed with a Paid Plan
If you decide to purchase a license, your account and all projects created during the trial period will remain intact. You can continue your work without any interruptions.
2. Downgrade to the Community Edition
If you don’t wish to continue with a paid plan and instead choose to downgrade to the free Community Edition, please note the following:
-
All your private analysis projects will be deleted automatically during the downgrade process.
This is a security measure: the Community Edition is designed exclusively for open source projects, and all projects in this edition are publicly available. To protect your privacy, we remove any private data before the transition. -
Once downgraded, you’ll be able to analyze open source projects only.
You will not be able to add or view any private projects unless you upgrade to a paid plan again. -
Downgrading is also required if you wish to delete your CodeScene account.
